Purple Dreamer

Standard

Amidst a sea of naked thorns

I found in peace  a rose, un-torn

Within a purple dreamer’s eyes

(Arrested by a single gaze)

I bathed deep in tranquil bliss

Will my eyes, one more gaze grace?

Or would it be like yesterday

(Forever buried by today)

Maybe aye, maybe nay

Only the  purple dreamer knows.

The Simple Poem

Standard

How we crave so direly

The depths of certain words

To outwardly convey into sounds

Emotioning inner thoughts.

How we hungrily yearn the beauty

Of exotic gargantuan rhetorics

To flush out entrapped feelings

To ears that need to hear it

But I know better than try so hard

To say simple things complicatedly

Like times I need to say “Thank You”

Or let you know “I love You”.
